SubCleaner
Do you own a DivX Hardware Player? If the answer is yes, you are maybe in my situation. I’m the owner of a LinkTheater. This device works well but it can be very picky with subtitles file. One wrong character, one empty line and boom, the player stops the subtitle in the middle of a movie!
This application can:
- limit the number of chars per line & the number of lines per subtitle
- convert several subtitle formats to SubRip format (.srt)
- remove unnecessary characters & formatting errors
Supported formats:
- MicroDVD
- SubViewer
- SubViewer 2.0
- TMPlayer
- MPL2
Just drag a subtitle on the application and it will be automatically cleaned.
Open Source
I changed my DivX hardware player and I no more need SubCleaner. Because of that I decided to stop the development of SubCleaner.
The application has been made open source on Google Code and it’s available to anyone who would like to continue my work or simply use the code. Enjoy.
